    United States:

    Mexico:

    1. Corporate Income Tax: In Mexico, businesses are subject to corporate income tax on their worldwide income. The tax rate is generally a flat rate of 30%. However, there are different rates for certain industries and regions.
    2. Value Added Tax (VAT): Mexico has a value-added tax system. Most goods and services are subject to VAT at a standard rate of 16%. However, certain items may be taxed at a reduced rate or exempted. Businesses are required to collect and remit VAT to the Mexican tax authorities.
    3. Payroll Taxes: Employers in Mexico are responsible for withholding payroll taxes from employee salaries, including income tax and social security contributions. The employer is also required to contribute a matching amount for social security.
    4. Other Taxes: Mexico also imposes other taxes such as the Asset Tax, which is a tax on certain assets owned by companies, and the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS), which applies to specific goods and services.
